Lord, do you see me?
do you hear my cry, do you feel my pain?
are you by my side?
i know your hands hold the universe,
but is there space for me?
am i on the right path?
why am i falling, why am i failing?
you say, the time will come where you will wipe every tear from our eyes, and there will be no more crying or pain,
you say, it is better to lay up treasures in heaven than on earth,
you say, you will bring me through.
but Lord, there is a deep ache in my heart, my tears cannot stop falling.
how can i live and not be
good at what i do?
but i ask myself, do i want to be good for myself, or is it for You?
is the standard of
good judged according to the world, or by You?
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." -Proverbs 3:5-6
